General Introduction

Aluminum grating has excellent corrosion resistance, light weight and beautiful appearance. It's widely used in marine engineering, ships, machinery, decoration, etc.
 

Press-locked grating is made if pre-punched bearing bars and flush top cross bars, fit them to each other's pre-punched slot with hydraulic pressure, bearing bar and cross bar are integrated rigidly. It performs better load capabilities than swaged bar gratings and it provides a smooth and clean appearance. Compared with press-welded grating, it posses the same characteristics with none welding spots and better artistic looking. 

 

Swagged Aluminum Grating is light weight, yet strong and durable for all load bearing applications that need high corrosion resistance. Aluminum Grating is available in a variety of bearing bar spacing, thicknesses and heights depending on applications and load requirements. Available in either smooth top or serrated for added slip resistance. 


 

Technical Data

•Material: T6061, 6063 alloy, ASTM B221•Bar grating made up of interlocking perpendicular bars.

•Bearing bar sizes range from 1" x 1/8" through 2-1/2" x 3/16" in 1/4" increments.

•Bearing bar spacing of 1-3/16", 15/16", 11/16" and 7/16" c.c. with cross bar spacing of 4" or 2".

•Hydraulic pressure is used to bond the slotted bars together, locking the deep cross bar into the notched bearing bar.

•Smooth, clean look due to a flush top rectangular cross bar.

•Offers strong lateral stability.

•Used in architectural design because of clean look and tight spacing.

•1/4" and 1/2" openings.

Finish Options

Mill Finish

Mill finish aluminum bars without additional coating. May show discoloration from welding and fabrication.

An electrochemical process that produces an oxide coating which provides additional corrosion resistance and a decorative finish. Clear or colored finishes available.

Plain Surface

Standard surface for rectangular bar products with excellent self-cleaning characteristics. Suitable for most applications.

Notched rectangular bearing bars provide increased slip resistance. Ideal for applications where moisture or fluids may be present on or near the walking surface.

 

"I" Bar Surface

Striated flanges of the "I" bar provide enhanced slip resistance without the added cost of serration.
